The Academic Drug Discovery Program seeks to create and support innovative drug discovery programs for cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease in academic medical centers and universities.
The Academic Drug Development Program funds academic scientists with innovative ideas for proof of concept clinical trials of new approaches to the treatment, prevention and early detection of Alzheimer's disease and cognitive aging.
How to apply
To begin the application procedure, applicants are required to complete an electronic "Letter of Intent." After review and approval of the "Letter of Intent," we will invite a full application, whereupon the applicant will be sent an email with a link to the electronic application form. In addition, one hard copy of all materials with original signatures should be mailed to:
James Keller
Grants Manager
Institute for the Study of Aging and the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation
1414 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 1502
New York, NY 10019
Once we have received the electronic and hard copies of the application, the scientific review process will begin. The review process is expected to take about three months. Updates on the status of your application will be available during the course of the review process by inquiries with our scientific staff.
If a "Letter of Intent" is not consistent with our mission, we will send a declination email explaining why we cannot invite an application at this time.
Please be advised that your application must be received within 30 days of receipt of the invitation.
